Snow guns allows you to make a large quantity of snow in a short amount of time, but especially at the right time. Mostly used on ski slopes for alpine skiing and cross-country skiing, it can also be amazing for most winter events. Snow guns are the most efficient machines to have quality snow in large quantity at any desired place.

The Puma and Super Puma Snowmakers have been developed with input from customers, service technicians and sales reps, worldwide, with a goal of maximizing production over a wide range of conditions, especially in marginal temperatures. The Puma was designed to interface with automation and control software for optimum performance in any snowmaking weather. It is equipped with an on-board aspirated weather station, air and water pressure monitoring, and automated flow control. The small flow steps deliver a smooth snowmaking curve, fine-tuning the water volume, air pressure and nucleation to best suit constantly changing weather conditions.

Like all of SMI’s products, the Puma follows a philosophy of easy operation, transport and maintenance.

SMI’s ultimate goal is to provide equipment that allows ski resorts to open earlier in the season, with higher trail counts. The rising levels of automation in designs like the Puma help achieve that goal, and to recover more quickly from bad weather events, so you can stay open longer and offer the best snow surfaces possible.

The SMI® Standard PoleCat is a simple nozzle fan snowmaker that excels in a wide range of weather conditions.

Offered in a variety of custom tower and carriage mounts, the Standard PoleCat Snowmaker can be powered by a piston or vane compressor, or by hill air feed. SMI STANDARD POLECAT Available in manual or automatic mode, the versatile PoleCat uses a 10 HP (7.5 kW) or a 15 HP (11 kW) fan and 18 spray nozzles that are customized to achieve water flows to suit specific climates. Nucleated

with a central six-jet nozzle, water flow is easily controlled by three heated, self-draining valves.

The Standard PoleCat is reliable and simple to operate and maintain—an excellent all-around performer for virtually any snowmaking conditions.

FLEXIBILITY AND PERFORMANCE

The Super PoleCat is a high performance big throw snow machine with many flexible automation options including remote control and full automatic modes of operation for either individual standalone machines or when connected to a complete network. SMI’s SmartSnow™ Automation & Control software is flexible and customizable and offers proven communication options, accurate weather measurement, supporting equipment and instrumentation, integrated auxiliary equipment, and service that is second to none.

The SMI® Kid PoleCat is a simple nozzle fan snowmaker that excels in a wide range of weather conditions. Simple adjustments of the two heated, self-draining valves customize water flow to achieve optimum snowmaking results in many climates.

Available with either a piston or vane compressor, the Kid PoleCat can be SMI KID POLECAT equipped with a variety of custom tower and carriage mounts, configured for manual or automatic operation. With a precise delivery capability and short throw distance, the Kid PoleCat is particularly effective on narrow trails.

The Kid PoleCat has evolved from more than 35 years of snowmaking experience. As SMI’s lightest and most portable design, the versatile unit can be positioned exactly where it’s needed most. Yet it’s so quiet that skiers are unlikely to even notice when it’s running on the slopes.
